The management of Michigan’s transportation, water, utilities, and communications assets has become increasingly urgent as this vital infrastructure ages. The question of how to maintain, manage, and improve this public infrastructure is increasingly making headlines and presenting challenges to leaders across the state. As a result, the Michigan Infrastructure Council (MIC) is holding its second series of asset management communication and coordination events across the state to facilitate a collaborative, coordinated, and consistent infrastructure asset management strategy in Michigan.

Your participation in the communication and collaboration summits gives you an opportunity to join with fellow stakeholders and share your perspective, offer ideas, and voice your concerns. More importantly, it’s your chance to inform the development of Michigan’s 30-year Integrated Infrastructure Strategy. Summit topics will include:

  • Michigan infrastructure project portal
  • Asset management plans from the Water Asset Management Council and Transportation Asset Management Council
  • Asset management readiness assessment
