The Greater Ann Arbor Region’s Prosperity Initiative is a collaboration to expand economic prosperity and quality of life in Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties. Over the next five years, stakeholders will work together to address two action areas for advancing this vision:
1) Grow and attract talent to the region that can meet industry needs
2) Advance a high-quality, diverse transportation system

The Greater Ann Arbor Region’s (GAAR’s) Prosperity Initiative announces six challenge grant awards that will support the implementation of the region’s Five-year Prosperity Strategy. Projects will primarily focus on growing and attracting talent to meet regional industry needs.
The Michigan Infrastructure Council is holding its second series of Asset Management Communication and Coordination Summits this fall to facilitate a collaborative, coordinated, and consistent infrastructure asset management strategy in Michigan.
The event facilitated a conversation about challenges, opportunities, successes, and barriers to effective and efficient asset management within the region. While more information-sharing efforts between counties and technology advancements are enabling better collaboration, attendees still recognized a great need for more uniformity and long-term solutions to asset management issues.
